Katherine Kane
Katherine has lived and traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, and Africa. Her learnings from these experiences have been amazing and too numerous to even start to count. The people she has met have proved to her that across the world we are more alike than different. Over the years, in addition to traveling, Katherine has gathered graduate degrees, worked in academia and in the corporate world, had two of the most wonderful daughters a person could ever have, and enjoyed every single day. (Well, some days have been better than others.) Now she is focusing on writing. Her first books focus on her love for pets, and take advantage of the over 30 years experience she has had training and working with dogs. Chase’s Luna del Lago
Luna was born in Cincinnati, Ohio , on May 1, 2005. She came to live in the city with Katherine on July 23. Luna quickly adapted to riding in elevators, meeting all sorts of people and city pets, and immediately became best friends with a neighborhood cat who used to go on walks around the park on his leash. Luna loves going to school, and has certificates of completion for Puppy class, Dog Good Manners I, II, and III, and Dog Tricks I and II. Her favorite things to do include going on long walks in any weather, going to Farmer’s Market in the summer, playing in summer city sprinklers, splashing in Lake Michigan, and diving head first into snow piles. She loves playing with her furry friends at doggy day care and dog events. She also loves to show off. In spite of all of her training certificates, she frequently needs to be reminded that being sassy gets her trouble instead of treats.
